One thing I did come away from AC/DC with is that it's about the feel. It sounds simple, but it's
not about the technicality of it. It's about the swing and the feel of it.
- SIMON WRIGHT (ex-AC/DC)
artist :: producer :: songwriter
Mostly known as a rock guitarist and his band High Road Easy,
Sven Horlemann is a multi-instrumentalist who works as a producer,
mixer and engineer in his studio in Karlsruhe, Germany.
As solo artist his albums deliver a mixture of classic rock songs as well
as instrumental rock tracks.
The latest CD is called Wonderful Things Come In Tiny Packages and
was released May 2019. Again it features singer Udo Maurer, who‘s
raspy timbre adds a blues rock / hard rock feel and drummer Magnus
Brandell.
With his band High Road Easy Sven released 3 full length records.
ABOUT
INTRODUCTION
A powerful melodic rock band featuring power house vocalist Jan Knopf.
As of 2020 a new High Road Easy album was released in April, 2nd.
On a side note Sven also does all the photo and video shooting and
loves creating visual concepts for the CD booklets, websites etc.
The youtube channel features lyric videos, performance videos and the
odd equipment review.
Sven enjoys the luxury of a broad musical taste that ranges from metal /
rock / pop to classical music. Not entirely surprising for a studied
musicologist who is a rocker at heart.
To me, music is about personal expression, it's about how you feel.
It's not about how technical efficient you are.

MIRRORS NEVER LIE

The first track singer Udo Maurer and I wrote.
Based on an instrumental I am amazed how Udo
came up with his ideas making this a great song.

CAPTAIN OF MY SOUL

Opener and hardest track of HAPPY TURNS TO
BLUE this song was written inspired by an African
rhythm drummer Magnus Brandell offered.

ON MY WAY
02/02/2017
More commercial rocker, this is another favorite
from the HAPPY TURNS TO BLUE album. Again Udo
did a super job coming up with melodies.

DARKNESS AND JOY
26/02/2016
Darkness And Joy deserved a lyric video - it is one of
the favorite tracks from High Road Easy‘s third CD
III. It was even played on London radio stations
several times!

REVIEW VIDEO
30/03/2017
For years I have been looking for a classic
stratocaster type of guitar. Former Fender master
builder John Page‘s The Ashburn finally delivers -
this is my review.

REVIEWS (GERMAN / ENGLISH)
05/04/2020
rocktimes.info (2020):
„(…) "Wonderful Things Come In Small Packages" markiert den vierten Longplayer
up hat.
Things", "Master Of Illusion"), Melodic-, Classic Rock und "Going Beyond" kratzt

INTERVIEW (ENGLISH)
12/06/2015
An interview with Sven for High Road Easy from back when we did lots of promo for radio and
magazines to spread the word.
HIGHLIGHT! As German musicians we grew up with Gitarre & Bass (formerly
Fachblatt Musikmagazin), the best and oldest nationwide music magazine. To
finally make it into the magazine not only with HIGH ROAD EASY, but also
getting a favorable mention for the solo works as SVEN HORLEMANN, that
really made our day!

Sagmeister so einige Größen vormachen. Zwei
