Projects

My solo work explores everything I can not do in my bands. It is mostly instrumental rock music but I like to include vocal tracks. It is highly melodic music that is easy to listen to, although sometimes a bit progressive.

For a few years High Road Easy is my main band. It was founded with singer Jan Knopf, who still is one of the best classic rock cover singers in Germany. Drums are provided by Magnus Brandell from Sweden.

Herzbruchstelle is a rocking theatrical project of mastermind Andrej Meinzer. The music is 80’s inspired hard rock. The ‘gigs’ are a mixture of the reading of the story, live performance of the songs, films, a magician and more.

What the press says - 1987 - 2015

As part of the promo for the new High Road Easy album ‘III’, Sven also got praises for his solo efforts in Germanys #1 nationwide guitar magazine - cool!

Drive” is a garden filled with AOR songs and AOR songs (yep, that’s in the power of two!), featuring totally melodic choruses and tons of “compositional” hard work. I think I just found out the first “single” of the album. “Emily” is the one, with that Marillion-like chorus; it hits us right on the spot and then enters “Fly From Here”. Yeah, Jan’s voice is smashing and really interesting.

This is the only review I found for my first cassette tape - ‘Into The Atmosphere’, released 1987. Thomas Kupfer of Rock Hard Magazine was kind enough to feature me.
